Industrial Welding Tables Designed for Continuous Use

Ergonomic Welding Tables: Flexible & Modular

Our welding tables have a modular design and can be adapted to large and bulky assemblies using removable rails, table extensions and flexible base frames. Height adjustment as well as turning, swivelling and rotating functions enable ergonomic working and improve process reliability in day-to-day production.

Grey Cast Iron Precision with Lasting Dimensional Stability

The flat grey cast iron support surface ensures lasting dimensional accuracy. Stop elements and clamping devices can be positioned continuously in the X and Y directions without the constraints of a fixed grid. Grey cast iron has lower thermal expansion than steel, ensuring stable welding results. For stainless steel applications, our Al/Cu rails provide a contamination-free surface, prevent ferrous contamination and enable precise, repeatable workpiece positioning.

Robust & Safe: Welding Tables for Continuous Use

Solid rails provide maximum stability, while grey cast iron reduces impact noise and improves occupational safety. The tables are designed for intensive continuous use, even with changing operators. Our Al/Cu rails developed specifically for stainless steel are extremely durable, easy to clean and resistant to discolouration and foreign material deposits, ensuring reliable processes in stainless steel production.

Durable & Low-Maintenance: Grey Cast Iron with a Non-Stick Patina

With regular care, open-pored grey cast iron with a high graphite content develops a natural non-stick patina that reduces welding spatter adhesion. Cleaning becomes easier over time, extending the service life of the surface. Al/Cu rails also support contamination-free stainless steel processing, reduce cleaning effort and provide permanently clean workpiece support surfaces.

Welding Table Accessories: Cover Every Application with Just 25 Tools

Universal multipurpose clamping devices and stop elements. Around 25 tools cover applications for which other systems require hundreds of individual components. For stainless steel processing, we offer specially adapted accessories with brass or stainless steel contact surfaces to prevent contamination and ensure maximum material purity.

Protect Your Investment: A Modular Welding Table Without Full Replacement

Individual rails are replaceable, eliminating the need to replace the entire table if damage occurs. A proven design with no reported complaints.

Grey Cast Iron Instead of Perforated Plate: What Sets Our Welding Tables Apart

Most welding tables on the market use steel perforated plates with a fixed hole pattern of 16, 22 or 28 mm. The FÖRSTER system takes a different approach: solid grey cast iron rails with T-slots allow continuously adjustable positioning without fixed grid constraints. Grey cast iron is a special alloy with lower thermal expansion than steel. It significantly reduces impact noise and, with regular care, develops a natural non-stick patina that reduces welding spatter adhesion. Cleaning becomes easier over time, not harder. If a rail is damaged, it can be replaced individually, eliminating the need to replace the entire table.

Welding Tables for Stainless Steel: Contamination-Free Processing

For stainless steel processing, we offer rails made from an aluminium-copper alloy. These Al/Cu rails prevent ferrous contamination and rust, are easy to clean and ensure precise, repeatable results. We also supply clamping devices with brass or stainless steel contact surfaces, creating a fully contamination-free workstation.

Which Applications Are FÖRSTER Welding Tables Suitable For?

Our welding tables are used wherever repeatable quality and ergonomic working are essential: structural steelwork, metal fabrication, railing construction, vehicle manufacturing, tank and vessel construction, shipbuilding, rail vehicle manufacturing, machinery and plant engineering, and the offshore and wind energy sectors. The modular design with removable rails can be adapted to bulky assemblies of any size, from small frame-building projects to industrial series production. Removing individual rails improves access to tall and bulky assemblies, while flexible base frames allow the work surface to be raised, lowered, turned, swivelled and rotated.

Time Savings and Efficiency in Day-to-Day Welding

A streamlined range of accessories means shorter setup times. Around 25 universal clamping devices and stop elements cover applications for which other systems require hundreds of individual components. Cleaning and maintenance effort decreases over the table’s service life instead of increasing. A manageable accessory range gets you to the desired result faster, while combining multiple tables enables flexible workstation configurations for any production situation.

Frequently Asked Questions About FÖRSTER Welding Tables

What sets the FÖRSTER T-slot system apart from perforated-plate welding tables?

Perforated-plate systems (D16, D22 or D28) only allow clamping devices to be positioned within a fixed hole pattern. The FÖRSTER T-slot system enables continuously adjustable positioning in the X and Y directions without fixed grid constraints. In addition, our rails are made from solid grey cast iron rather than steel, resulting in lower thermal expansion, natural non-stick properties and significantly less impact noise.

Which Type of Welding Table Is Right for My Production?

That depends on your requirements for ergonomics and access to the workpiece. The 3D welding table is the versatile foundation for all standard welding and assembly tasks. If you weld assemblies from several sides, a rotary welding table is recommended. A height-adjustable lifting welding table is ideal for changing operators or ergonomic working. We would be happy to advise you personally on the configuration that best suits your production.

Why is a FORSTER welding table more cost-effective in the long run than a D28 perforated plate table?

The price of a FORSTER welding table is comparable to that of similar D28 perforated-plate tables. However, because it requires significantly fewer accessories and has lower maintenance and cleaning costs, and because individual rails can be replaced instead of entire table tops, the total cost is significantly lower. The system pays for itself quickly, especially when used across multiple workstations.

Can I Test a FÖRSTER Welding Table or Arrange a Demonstration?

Yes. We offer personal consultations and demonstrations at our facility in Hohenstein-Ernstthal. There, you can experience the different table types, the T-slot system and our accessories in practice. Contact us and we will be happy to arrange an appointment.
