What is a welding manipulator?
A welding manipulator is a positioning device that rotates, tilts, and adjusts the height of a workpiece so that you can weld each seam in the optimal position. It improves ergonomics and seam quality, especially during manual welding operations.
What movements can the ERGOFIX perform?
The ERGOFIX rotates the workpiece continuously through 360°, tilts it up to approximately 43° or 45° depending on the version, and lifts it hydraulically from 690 mm to 990 mm. The small X-PRO version with a 785 × 800 mm tabletop offers a height range of 715 mm to 1,015 mm. All three axes can be adjusted and locked independently.
What is the manipulator's load capacity?
Depending on the version, the ERGOFIX supports workpieces weighing up to 50, 100 or 150 kg. This makes it suitable for light to medium-weight components requiring many different welding positions. The maximum load capacity depends on the selected table size.
Are there manual and electric versions available?
Yes, the manual version uses a foot pump and has manual rotation and tilt functions. The electrohydraulic version is controlled via a remote control.
How does a manipulator differ from a welding table?
