More FÖRSTER welding tables
Do you need more flexibility? Our rotating welding tables provide 360° access without the need to re-clamp parts, lifting welding tables offer stepless height adjustment for ergonomic work, and tilting welding tables allow access to components from all sides. Our table bridges are perfect for clamping long components.
3D welding table and assembly table: compatible clamping devices and positioning elements
Universal, multi-purpose clamps for the T-slot rail system. Infinitely adjustable, designed for multiple functions, suitable for gray cast iron and aluminum/copper rails.
3D Welding Table and Assembly Table Extensions
With the modular FÖRSTER system, you can adapt your welding table to meet your evolving needs. Support legs can be flexibly attached to the rails, while extension plates connect multiple tables to form a continuous work surface. This saves on investment costs and provides maximum flexibility for large workpieces and assemblies.
Care products for the 3D welding table and assembly table
Specialized protective oils and cleaners designed to promote optimal patina formation on cast iron. Regular maintenance ensures that the surface’s non-stick properties improve over time, reducing the amount of cleaning required throughout its lifespan.
3D welding table with T-slot system: continuous positioning without fixed increments
The FÖRSTER 3D welding table features a patented rail system made of solid gray cast iron. Unlike the perforated plate systems commonly found on the market (D16, D22, or D28), the T-slot system allows for continuous positioning of clamping and positioning devices in the X and Y directions. Workpieces can be secured exactly where the process requires.
Cost-effectiveness: fewer accessories, lower ongoing costs
The FÖRSTER 3D welding table is designed to minimize total lifetime costs. With approximately 25 universal, multifunctional clamping and positioning devices, you can handle applications that would otherwise require hundreds of individual parts in a perforated plate system. When equipping three workstations, you’ll save significantly on the initial investment because each of our tools serves multiple functions, reducing the number of parts you need to stock. Setup times are reduced because the manageable range of tools gets the job done faster. Cleaning and maintenance of the table become less frequent over its service life, not more time-consuming. And should a rail ever be damaged, you simply replace the individual rail, not the entire table. It’s not the purchase price that matters—it’s the total cost. A FORSTER welding table offers decisive economic advantages even at comparable purchase costs. The robust cast iron system reduces wear, maintenance, and replacement costs to a minimum. The result: lower lifecycle costs, greater process reliability, and an investment that pays off over many years.
Cast iron as a countertop: an overview of the benefits
Compared to steel, gray cast iron offers significant advantages for welding workstations: Its lower thermal expansion ensures more stable welding results under thermal stress. With regular maintenance, the open-pored structure with a high graphite content forms a natural non-stick patina that drastically reduces the adhesion of weld spatter. Cleaning becomes easier over time, not more difficult. In addition, gray cast iron significantly reduces impact noise, a measurable benefit for workplace safety in manufacturing.
For stainless steel processing: Al/Cu rails to prevent contamination
In addition to the standard gray cast iron version, we offer rails made of an aluminum-copper alloy. These Al/Cu rails prevent foreign rust and contamination during stainless steel machining. When used in combination with our clamping devices featuring brass or stainless steel contact surfaces, you’ll achieve a contamination-free work environment for consistently precise results.
Modular design: flexible for any size
The rails of the 3D welding table can be removed individually. This allows openings to be created in the table surface to accommodate bulky assemblies and work on them from all sides. The work surface can be expanded using extension plates—without needing a new table. Individual damaged rails can be replaced, eliminating the need to replace the entire table. The table is available in stationary and mobile versions, with the mobile version featuring lockable casters and the ability to be set up in a stationary position at any time.
Typical applications
The 3D welding table is suitable for use in steel construction, metal fabrication, automotive manufacturing, tank construction, and general welding production. It can be used both as a welding table and as an assembly table; its modular design allows for both applications on the same work surface.

Frequently Asked Questions About the 3D Welding Table and Assembly Table
What is the maximum weight of a workpiece on the 3D welding table?
The work surface can support up to 3 tons as a distributed load and up to 1.5 tons as a concentrated load. The solid gray cast iron rails are designed for continuous industrial use with heavy assemblies, even under daily stress.
Can I expand the 3D welding table later on if my needs grow?
Yes. The work surface can be expanded at any time by adding support legs and repositioning the existing rails. Using table extension panels, you can connect multiple tables to create a single, continuous work surface. Furthermore, both configurations can be joined together to create a massive work surface. So instead of buying a new table, you simply expand the one you already have.
How much does a FÖRSTER 3D welding table cost compared to perforated plate systems?
The purchase price of a table is comparable to that of steel perforated-plate tables with a D28 hole pattern. Our accessories are significantly more affordable and, thanks to their multifunctional use, offer a significant cost advantage for the entire package (approx. 25 parts instead of hundreds). Over its lifetime, the investment pays off significantly due to the outstanding durability, the steadily decreasing cleaning effort, and the ability to replace individual rails instead of the entire table. For multiple equipped workstations, the total investment is significantly lower than with perforated plate systems.
How long does delivery take, and can I pick up the table myself?
The components are generally available ex-factory in Hohenstein-Ernstthal. We ship throughout Germany and internationally via a freight forwarder. Alternatively, you can pick up your order directly from the factory. Once we receive your order, we assemble the table, gather the accessories, and pack everything ready for shipment. When it arrives at your location, you can get started right away—the table comes fully assembled.
As a beginner, do I need a complete accessory set, or can I order items individually?
Both options are possible. To get started, we recommend one of our pre-configured clamping tool sets, which are ready to use right away and cover the most common applications. You can reorder individual clamping tools and positioning elements at any time. Since all tools are designed to be multifunctional, you’ll need significantly fewer parts than with perforated panel systems.
